Prices and Art Information
All of Michael Hogan's photographs, except Pine Barrens Wildflowers and Orchids, are photographed in 4x5 inch format with a view camera. This is similar to the type of camera that Ansel Adams used. It produces a 4x5 inch negative that is 16 times the size of a 35mm negative.
This large negative allows high detail and rich color saturation, producing prints up to 30x40 inches that are virtually grain-less. The view camera also allows depth of field and perspective controls not found in other types of cameras. Pine Barrens Wildflowers and Orchids are photographed in 35mm format and are only offered in 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20 sizes. Please note that the internet does not come close in showing the color and detail of these prints.
All work is now digitally scanned at high resolution and Light Jet printed on high quality Fuji Crystal Archive mat finish paper. All prints are signed on the back to protect the quality of the photograph.
